The club extends its deepest sympathies to the Hannan family on the sad passing of Noel Hannan R.I.P.
Noel was a hugely active and dedicated member of Croagh/Kilfinny GAA Club throughout the years, playing with the club during the 1960s and 1970s. He later gave countless hours of service with Bord na nÓg, where he worked as a coach and selector with many underage teams.
Noel then became involved with the senior club, serving on a number of management teams. He was a selector with the historic 1994 team, which won the club’s first ever West Junior A Hurling Championship title.
A passionate supporter of the club both on and off the field, Noel was also a tremendous fundraiser and served for many years as a draw promoter, helping to raise vital funds to support the continued running of the club.
In more recent years, Noel held the position of Club Vice-President, reflecting the high regard and respect in which he was held by everyone in Croagh/Kilfinny GAA Club. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
We extend our sincere sympathies to Noel’s family, Justine, Paddy, Noel, Darina and Colm, and to the extended Hannan family. Paddy, Noel and Colm are all past players with the club, and we also extend our sympathies to Markus (current player) and Elise on the passing of their beloved grandfather.
