Our U11 hurlers made the trip to Pairc Ui Caoimh for the Munster Activity hurling blitz last Tuesday August 1st 2023. We travelled by bus, leaving Croagh at 12 noon with our 1st game in Pairc Ui Caoimh at 3pm. A total of 18 players made the trip and a good few parents also came to support the team.

We played against some strong opposition in what was a wet day. We played a very strong Mungret St. Paul's side in our first game and the boys battled hard, in our second game we played Cloughduv (Kilmurry Co. Cork) in what was a more even game. Our last game was against Middleton and while the boys were tired and wet they kept going until the end. Well done to all who played their heart out and enjoyed their run around the Pairc.

The games were followed by a tour of the dressing rooms with a few other teams and Cork Senior dual star Brian Hayes (St. Finbarr's). Brian spoke to the boys about his experience in the dressing rooms on big match day and took some questions also.

We headed back to the bus for our journey home and stopped off to get some food for the boys who were fairly hungry at this stage!. We had a great sing song on the bus home and got back to Croagh about 7:30pm.
