Our Minor hurlers bowed out of the championship this evening against Granagh/Ballingarry. The teams were evenly matched on the score board at half time with Croagh/Kilfinny/Rathkeale leading by 1 point, 0-7 to 0-6. We played the better hurling in this half but we had at least 2 goal chances the we failed to convert and this would prove costly at the end. Scorers in this half were Mike Sheehan 0-2 (F), Cian O'Carroll 0-4 (3F), Jack Sheils 0-1.

Granagh/Ballingarry started the 2nd half a much more motivated team and were a goal up after 4 minutes. They continued to dominate the half and our indiscipline gave them some easy scorable frees. We battled hard but against the wind and a team growing in confidence there was only ever going to be one winner with Granagh/Ballingarry running out comfortable 8 point winners in the end, 1-16 to 0-11. Scorers in this half were Cian O'Carroll 0-2 (F) and Mike Sheehan 0-2 (F).
